The Colony MUD Elevated Storage Tank
SWE served as a sub-consultant for this new 1-MG Composite Elevated Storage Tank (EST) to service approximately 4,000 future, single-family homes. In addition to the EST, the project’s 0.551-acre site required an access driveway, 8’ high intruder-resistant fencing, and new pumps and motors for an existing booster station. The final design complied with all rules and regulations set forth by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Our services included sizing new pumps and motors for the existing Colony MUD’s East Delivery Booster Station (which we previously designed) to support water delivery to the new EST; FAA coordination for the aeronautical study; paint inspection coordination; bidding phase services; and construction phase services.
